Invinity Sparkling Wine House

There are two fundamental components that are very important to us when it comes to sparkling winemaking. First, embracing the traditional method sparkling wine process and second, being naturally made wine. We are not willing to sacrifice on either of these so we have found a perfect balance that works for us while honouring both paths.

We are committed to producing a unique and expressive selection of sparkling wines that maintain the highest standard of excellence using varietals that are suited to our micro-climate. Our hand made wine process and warm disgorging can leave small amounts of lees in the bottle leaving evidence of natural wine making. The varietals we selected are Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Marechal Foch, Ortega and a limited amount of Siegerrebe.

Why only Sparkling Wine?

🍾 Fifteen years ago while dreaming of the day we opened our winery, we promised ourselves we would work with what the land and climate gave us. This drove us to identify a style that Vancouver Island can sustain and would require little to no intervention in the winemaking process, voila Sparkling Wine is a great choice!

🍾 During our travels throughout BC, France and Italy we were inspired by the wineries that focused on only a couple of varietals or types (e.g. only make white wines). We decided to devote all our time, attention (and love!) to making beautiful Vancouver Island Sparkling Wines.

🍾 North Saanich has a very similar climate to Champagne, France and also shares the same latitude!

Welcome to our home

Invinity Sparkling Wine House is the little piece of paradise that our family of 5 calls home. We are a micro-vineyard in the truest sense of the word with under an acre of vines on site located across from the amazing beaches of the Saanich Inlet. We are incredibly grateful to work, live and raise our family as visitors on the traditional territory of the WSÁNEĆ (Saanich), lək̓ʷəŋən (Songhees), Wyomilth (Esquimalt) peoples of the Coast Salish Nation.

Our love and passion for winemaking is derived from over 20 years in the food and beverage industry, visiting wine regions and making wine for fun on the side.

From realizing our passion for winemaking, to building our vineyard, to starting a family of our own, our journey has taught us that life moves fast and it is important to take the time to enjoy the vast amount of beauty this world has to offer, accompanied by a glass of bubbles in hand! So, take the time, enjoy life and let us help you celebrate every moment with a bottle of our Sparkling Wine!

À votre santé / Cheers

Patrick Blandin – Consultant

We have had the pleasure to work directly with Patrick Blandin as our wine consultant. He has an impressive background and helps us achieve the traditional style of Champagne that we love!

Patrick Blandin began his career after working as a young student in the wine and vine sector. He studied wine tasting at the EPMTTH of Paris, among the best sommeliers of Paris and the world such as Alain Gianotti, Philippe Faure-Brac, and Olivier Poussier. Once Patrick’s Sommelier diploma was acquired and to have been finalist in the Competition of the Best Young Sommelier of France; He leaves to Bordeaux and Sancerre during 5 years of apprenticeship, learning among the best Schools and with renowned professionals.

After graduating of several diplomas in viticulture, oenology and quality; He perfected his training in Oenology by obtaining his Oenologist’s National Diploma (master of Oenology) in Burgundy. During those years, he worked in the South of France (Languedoc) with Julien Zernott and in Burgundy. Then go abroad to work as a Winemaker and Consultant in Turkey, Australia, China and Bhutan.

Upon his return in France and after managing an estate in terms of technical ; he decided to finish his training in Quality by obtaining a Master’s degree QHSE Management and by working in this business sector  for several years. During those years, he created Evos France, worked as Consultant for La Villa des Chefs (with several Michelin Starred Chefs) and for companies in the Agrifood industry, such as Décors et Créations.

In 2014, he moved to Canada where he has worked as Vineyard Manager for Chaberton Estate Winery and set up the company Evos Consulting.

Sustainable Farming

We farm uncertified organic with a focus on sustainability and only partner with small Vancouver Island growers on the Saanich Peninsula. These growers have varied farming methods such as dry farming, biodynamic techniques and all share the same commitment to the quality and land as we do.

Through the use of cover crops such as ryegrass and clover, we have built a micro soil system that can promote healthy vines without chemical intervention. Tea, kelp and horn manure biodynamic sprays are some of the methods used to enrich our plants.

As a further partnership with Mother Nature, we also have an ongoing contract with an army of ladybugs and at times bring in praying mantis.

If you drive by our house, you will frequently see Kaine outside in the vineyard speaking positive affirmations to his vines while playing classical music. Similarly, if you come into our home during harvest, you will see sticky notes all around the tanks and barrels with things like Beautiful Pinot Gris or Delicious Marechal Foch written on them along with classical music playing in the background. We believe that all living things are bettered by positivity and good intentions and since wine is a living entity we feel the expression of that comes out in every bottle.
